Nominate a staff member from our school…

The 2022 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation private school awards are open!

Please share this information with your staff, students, families, and school counselors as appropriate.

The 2022 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation awards for students, teachers, and principals are now open for nomination and application. Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowships and Principal Leadership awards are nomination-only awards, while the 2022 Herb Kohl Student Excellence Scholarship award is available for high school seniors who will graduate at the end of the 2021-22 school year.

The nominations and applications are entirely online, and available at There are no limitations for the number of applicants who can come from any one school (teachers and principals) or high school (students) or school district (all awards) in the state of Wisconsin. There are, however, limitations on the number of packets that can be forwarded from each CESA region to the Statewide Selection Committee for each award. Regional allocations are representative of the number of students who attend school in each CESA. We expect that the competition for awards will be rigorous.

Letters of recommendation are not shared with the applicant, and the requests for a person to submit a letter of recommendation are not sent to the recommenders until after the applicant submits an application. Therefore, schools are strongly advised to support early submissions, to allow time for recommenders to complete their work. A packet with less than the full 3 letters of recommendation will not be scored or advanced to the Statewide Selection Committee.

The USDA waiver allowing schools to provide free meals to all students has been extended for the 2021-22 school year; students enrolled at Seton will also have access to free breakfasts.
I am excited to myself, my name is Mary Katherine Widmann and I am very excited to be the new principal and be part of the team/family at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Sheboygan!
I have a BS in Early Childhood Education, 1-8 licensure with a minor in English, Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist licensure, MS in Curriculum & Instruction, and a Master’s in Director of Curriculum & Instructional and Administrative Leadership (Principal). My passion is reading and I have most recently served as a District Reading Specialist in the Northshore area. I have taught in urban, suburban, private and public schools and I understand the importance of building community and fostering strong partnerships with families to work together on behalf of all students for advancing achievement and success.
I am a Bella Via dance and North Shore United soccer mom for Emma (17), Ben (15) and Abby (12). We are parish members at St. Joseph Parish in Grafton where I have been a Religious Education teacher, VBS volunteer, and serve as the trainer and schedule coordinator for acolytes. As well, I was blessed to be married to the most loving, and brilliant man named Jarrod for 17 years before he lost his brave fight to leukemia about two years ago… from that my family learned to always trust God, be thankful for all your blessings, be the feet and hands of Christ for others, and live everyday to the fullest!
Other facts about me: I grew up in Franklin Wisconsin, lived in Connecticut and worked at Yale University, I run 10 miles each and every day, I love to vacation in Florida (Disney is magical!), HUGE Harry Potter fan, Tom Brady New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers supporter, and I met Giannis Antetokounmpo mid-court with my son before a game about a year and a half ago!

Uniform update:

Starting this school year, students will not be required to have pieces of uniform with the Seton logo.  In addition, there will be flexibility in where uniforms are purchased (i.e., Target not just Lands End) as long as colors and styling remain the same.  Any questions, please see the office secretary and/or school principal.

Join us for the annual Uniform Resale.  Purchase gently used uniforms for your children at great prices.  All are welcome to shop the sale.

Uniform Resale will be held on:

Tuesday, August 10, 3:30-6:30pm

At Seton in the lower level (*enter main doors on Superior), Home & School Room

Cash is preferred form of payment, but checks will also be accepted.
